Fairtrade Committee

Hi welcome to the fair trade committees page. We are applying for our fair trade schools award and we will use this page to post all our fair trade activities.

Fairtrade

Becoming a Fairtrade School means joining a worldwide movement – a movement where young people learn that, whatever their age, they have the power to make a difference in the world.

It offers a great opportunity to look at global issues such as where our food comes from and how we are connected to people around the world. Students can also learn a range of skills, from teamwork and co-operation to persuasive writing to running a stall or tuck shop.

For more information please have a look at the fair trade schools website.

Term one

In term one we had a fair trade fun day. Everyone in class did some activities to learn about fair trade and we had a bouncy castle to help raise money for our fair trade committee.

We also had a fair trade smoothie stall at the school summer fayre!
