As many of you will be aware, teachers and support staff have been phasing back to school this week. As you would expect, one of the first jobs a teacher wants to get organised is their classroom layout for August. Check out an example of how our classes will look.
As many of you will know, each year a group of staff from Chatelherault Primary School participate in the Glasgow Kiltwalk. Due to the current situation the event was postponed. This did not stop staff coming together (while at home) to walk a virtual kiltwalk on Sunday 26th April 2020. Our progress was posted on Twitter throughout the day. Sir Tom Hunter, who matched the money raised for our chosen charity Archway, followed us liking our tweets over the course of the day.
Check out the video below to follow our progress on the 2020 Virtual #Kiltwalk.
The school as you know closed on Friday 20th March 2020, until further notice, for all nursery and primary pupils following government recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID 19.
As of Thursday 26th March South Lanarkshire Council have opened a number of Hubs across the local authority to support key workers by providing access to childcare during school closures for key workers.

Teachers have created Learning Grids for Literacy, Numeracy and Topic. These grids outline a selection of learning experiences which are relevant and set in a real life context. Along with this teachers have included a jotter and any other resources the teacher feels would be relevant.
In addition to this, teachers are working to ensure ALL children within the school can access Glow. During the time of school closures teachers will be updating Google Classroom with activities for Literacy and Numeracy so that children can continue with their learning.
Please note: The breakfast club is not running at the moment. When this service is back we will let parents know.
